Great Escape

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

New 16-screen cinema building over parking level.

Partial demolition and reinforcement of portions of existing mall structure to allow new upper level connection to existing mall.

Reinforcement of adjacent existing roof structure for snow drift loads resulting from new expansion.

Floor level of cinema was designed with CIP concrete pan-joist construction to allow large spans, eliminate spray-on fireproofing and potential for future steel corrosion.

Lateral bracing at the parking level was not required and numerous roof columns were economically transferred due to use of a concrete framing system.
