Water Main Break - Office

Details

When a water main break occurred in an office, water caused erosion of the soil below the building. Cracking of the concrete and severe damage to the architectural finishes resulted. TSA was retained to determine the extent and severity of damage. We performed physical documentation of the observed damage, an elevation survey to assess the area where the floor was physically displaced, and ground-penetrating radar to determine the extent of sub-terrain voids.

We were able to determine the areas most greatly distressed and propose various repair options to the Owner. By being able to detect sub-terrain voids, we can help better define the limits of repairs.
