When a building tenant with a large server room decided to expand, the landlord became concerned that the equipment may overload the structure. N-J was retained to prepare a floor load review. It was determined that the load capacity of the floor ranged from 50 pounds per square foot to 125 pounds per square foot. By locating the equipment in areas with a higher capacity, the tenant could avoid costly structural reinforcement. N-J prepared a color-coded floor plan to allow the tenant to correctly locate the new equipment.
