No one wants to keep coming back to the same problem. We were asked to design repairs to a concrete plaza deck, including stairs. The building was less than 30 years old and had experienced an ongoing water infiltration problem even though previous repairs had been attempted.
We performed a visual observation of the building system and reviewed the drawings to determine how the plaza was constructed. We participated in selective demolition and water testing to determine why the previous repairs were not fully successful. We designed a new system to restore the plaza and stairs in a way that provides much better sub-surface drainage and continuity of the waterproofing membrane.
