After experiencing cracking and other distress in a healthcare facility, we were retained to determine the extent of damage related to a reported sewer line break. Our investigation included an interview with the building management, the plumber that found the sewer leaks, a visual assessment of the damage, and a detailed elevation survey. The investigation showed that patterns of movement were not consistent with expected distress if it was related to plumbing leaks.
