TSA was approached by a client wanting to place a new generator weighing nearly 10,000 lbs. into their parking garage. Due to cost constraints, they wanted to avoid having to reinforce the structure. The location where the owner originally wanted to locate the generator would have overloaded the structure. After reviewing the proposed load and structural design drawings, TSA was able to select an alternative location that was structurally acceptable without additional reinforcing.
