TSA was contacted by a client that wanted to place a generator for their data center just outside the building in an unused loading dock. Because the soils in that area were highly expansive, they elected to support the generator on a structural slab. Coordinating with a geotechnical engineer, foundation piers were designed to support the generator pad and a screen wall that was required by the development district. Construction documents were prepared for the generator pad and screen wall.
