Chiller Changeover

Details

TSA was contacted by a client that had to figure out a way to change out a massive chiller for a tall office tower. The chiller was located in the basement with the only available path between the loading dock and the chiller being through the parking structure, which wasn't designed for the weight of the chiller. When the client contacted us, they were very concerned about having to shore up the building structure in the entire path of the chiller.

TSA reviewed the proposed path, then analyzed the capacity of the structure within the proposed path. TSA then designed a custom steel frame to be placed under the cooling tower to spread the load out enough so that shoring was no longer required, saving the Client a huge expense and a potentially costly delay.
